So why is it that sometimes it feels like the whole world and it's dog is demanding brain space that you just don't have?

It's almost as if sometimes the universe has excess baggage hanging around in the ether and given that you're already having a major life malfunction it thinks..."there's a window of opportunity boys! Dump it down there, she's got so much going on she wont notice till it's too late!"

Well, being a dumping ground for the cosmos can be more of a drag than one might first suspect. Sometimes there are such powerful things knocking about... like little electrons orbiting your personal space, the negative charge affecting your otherwise positive demeanor and resulting in the unavoidable (it seems!) attraction of yet further negative influence!

Still, there is hope, it's not all doom... see what we attract, even the negative, is ours for the choosing in reality. You have to choose to let something into your personal space for it to affect you in a lasting negative way. Take for example, yesterday, quite a stressful day; after realising the day before that i was sposed to have written a statement, and that statement needed to be in first thing the next morning, obviously i started to panick. This would not have been too momentous a finding if a stable - or at least manageable state of mind was present at the time..... how ever unfortunaly for me, timing had another idea for me...

See the fortnight running up to this minor event had in actual fact rendered me mentally incapacitated. There is a point (and it happens many many times...how ever much you promise yourself it wont) where you wake up feeling like your insides have been drained in your sleep and your head has been stuck in a vice which is pressing most uncomfortably on your temples....... yes, the dreaded morning after the night before. Or perhaps the somewhat regular event (depending on where your social ties lie in the capital we call "home") ..the moment when you notice that you have to take the early morning transport home, and the sun may make it to your house before you do.........or worse....that you are on a bus with people who are on their way to work.....(although at the time these things can seem irelevent or even funny depending on the events of the evening!)
At times like those, something happens in your brain......a tiny part of you makes a decision, and that decision is one you hear, and intend with all honesty to implement... make a change in your behaviors... but one that unfortunately gets lost in light of the next few days as socialising takes its usual position of essential human right.

When one looks back over a period of weeks....even days, and realises that ability to separate that block of time into conventional 24hour slots..and attribute the appropriate happenings and activities to the correct time slot... has been lost, then it is time to do one of two things:
1) Carry on, as you were soldier.... you may as well, come on it was fun!

2) Mayday Mayday! Officer down! slippers and a therapist are the only hope!

Sometimes having your mind opened like a walnut with a hammer and a chisel is positive happening. Sometimes it results in total meltdown and straight jacket. Now, just to tell the difference.....
